What we can help with
History questions are our home ground. If you are staring at a VIN with three auction appearances and a damage description that keeps changing, or a title that picked up a brand at a time that makes no sense, write to us with what you are seeing. We cannot inspect the car for you, but we can usually tell you which guide covers your situation and which contradiction deserves your attention first.
We also welcome questions about the research process itself: how to count prior appearances, how to compare listings across Copart and IAA, what a no-sale in the record means, or how to weigh a relisting pattern against an otherwise clean car. If several readers ask the same thing, we turn the answer into a guide, so your question genuinely improves the site.
What we will not do is tell you whether to bid on a specific vehicle. That decision depends on the car in front of you, your repair costs, and your appetite for risk. Our job is to make sure you have read the history well enough that the decision is yours, made with open eyes.
